Students will learn that Brazil’s various regions have very different physical and human characteristics and face many challenges.

Section 2, “Brazil’s Quest for Economic Growth”  pages 260-263

vocabulary:  plantation, gasohol, deforestation, ecotourism

Students will learn that many Brazilians have benefited from economic development, but poverty and environmental harm are major problems.

 

Friday –

Chapter 12 Review and Assessment, pages 264-265

Students will work in small groups discussing and answering questions over Brazil.
