Chapter 34 – The Pacific World and Antarctica

 

Monday-  Section 1, “Australia”  pages 717-723

vocabulary:  Aborigine, lagoon, cyclone, outback, artesian well

Students will learn that Australia is a vast land with diverse physical characteristics and a relatively small population.

Students will learn that New Zealand and the Pacific Islands are distinct island groups spread across a wide ocean.
